Measuring Dimensions

There are three key pieces of information we will need:

• Pin Diameter;
• Distance between pin centres;
• Ear to Ear distance (width).

STEP 1
Pick up a tape measure (2nd preference) and /or Vernier calliper (1st preference).
STEP 2
Go to an existing bucket or attachment that fits nicely onto the dipper arm or quick hitch of the excavator.
STEP 3
Take measurements A, B, C, D, E as accurately as possible
NOTE: In most cases A = B, and C = D but in some cases they may be different and it’s best to double check.
TIP: Pin diameter measurements are generally in 5mm increments, e.g.it is common for pins to be 25mm, 30mm, 35mm etc. This is not always the case though, so please contact us if you are unsure.
